FARLI is proud to announce that our chairman Mr. Meir Edrey was invited to speak in "Mapping 
Ancient Identities" at the Frei Universitaet in Berlin. The subject of his lecture will be "How the Lebanese Landscape Shaped Phoenician Culture."

FARLI is Proud to Announce its Newest Project: Ancient Pottery Database!

The Foundation for Archaeological Research of the Land of Israel is proud to announce the launch of its newest Project: The FARLI Ancient Pottery Database. In the spirit of FARLI's goals to promote the archaeological research of the land of Israel and the southern Levant, and to develop new technological tools in the service of archaeology, FARLI launches the Ancient Pottery Database. This website is an ever growing picture-based database of the pottery of the Ancient Near East. The pottery assemblages are divided into geographical areas, periods of use, types and ceramic families and includes valuable information on each vessel such as; measurements, special features, parallels and bibliographic references.

FARLI is Proud to Announce its Newest Member

The Foundation for Archaeological Research of the Land of Israel is proud to announce Mr. Diarmaid Walshe has recently joined the FARLI team. 

Diarmaid Walshe is a community archaeologist based in South-East England and is a leading authority on Roman Grog Temper pottery of Southern England. He has a long association with Israel and has been heavily involved in excavations in the region.

A master graduate in Field Archaeology from the University of Sussex is currently a Doctorial researcher in the area Roman pottery.  Diarmaid is at present is engaged in running the Darent Valley Archeologically Project which is investigating Roman and Saxon settlement patterns in the valley which has the heaviest concentration of Villas outside the Mediterranean region.  He is also the Director of Archtools one of the leading suppliers of Archaeological Tools and Equipment.

FARLI officaly affiliated with WKAS

The Foundation for Archaeological Research of the Land of Israel is honored to be officially affiliated with the West Kent Archaeological Society. The WKAS was founded in 2008 in Kent, England by local archaeologists, students and enthusiasts in order to promote local archaeology to the surrounding community. 

The WKAS is conducting excavations and surveys in the West Kent area, hosting archaeological workshops and other local archaeology related events. It is already affiliated with the Council for British Archaeology and the NCMD: Landscape Explorers Group in Southeast England.
